ION Television is a United States broadcast and cable network. Prior to September 25, 2005, the network was known as PAX TV, then as i: Independent Television until January 29, 2007. i, as was the case with PAX, is a network devoted to family oriented programming. They do not allow their affiliates to run syndicated programming and instead run infomercials during the timeslots not reserved for original programming. This has resulted in the stations which carry i to run infomercials the majority of the time. However, PAX and i have had some successful original series such as Doc and Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye.
